The curtain rises on the passionate performer, Saint of Minstrels Rafael

The sounds of his performance can be heard in castle court and battlefield alike as his notes aim to soothe both friend and foe. However, oftentimes the power of his performances leaves screaming fans and destruction in his wake. Such is the rock star life of the greatest of bards, the Saint of Minstrels Rafael. While his pure-hearted pursuit has earned him fame and fortune from across the land, Rafael cares only about the music. He journeys onward honing his craft towards the ultimate ballad, said to allow man to move time and space.

Rafael has a bit of crazy in him, and it reflects in the moves that he uses. He has moves that feel very random, while others seem bizarre to those who are unfamiliar with his abilities. He has 2 Technical type skills, 1 Defensive, and 1 Hindrance skill. As Rafael tends to be a bit wild, players may need some planning to use them effectively.

Level 1 (TECHNICAL) – Segmenta Da Capo

Rafael’s level 1 skill changes the next few blocks to all be the same piece you had before you triggered the skill. So if you have a piece that looks like it won’t fit well with the opponent’s board, this skill will cause the opponent to receive this piece for the next few blocks. However, this can be a double edged sword since the piece may not play well with you either.

Level 2 (DEFENSE) – Skyward Cadenza

Rafael plays a short tune, causing music notes to drop from the sky that clear a random number of rows on your board.

Level 3 (HINDRANCE) – Lingering Intermezzo

This is a song that will never give you up, never let your opponent down. Whenever your opponent clears blocks while this skill is active, nothing will drop down or cascade.

This is best used before the opponent plans to perform clears. So while they’ll still be able to clear blocks, their board height will likely remain the same.

Level 4 (TECHNICAL) – Overture Finalissimo

Rafael’s ultimate song mesmerizes the opponent into performing whatever action Rafael does. If Rafael shifts his piece, the opponent will as well. Similarly for rotating and dropping. This is an extremely powerful skill that can immediately defeat the opponent, but used incorrectly, can do more harm to you than to the opponent.
